Dievnamu uzcēla ar tēva Melitona palīdzību 1878.gadā, tam līdzās tika uzcelta arī mācītāju māja, netālu divas skolu ēkas: Tiskādos un Štikānos.
Dievnama iekšiene bija izdaiļota ar daudzām ļoti vecām ikonām, ikonostasu, kā arī bibliotēku ar garīga satura grāmatām, kas tika saņemtas no Maskavas pareizticīgo baznīcas.
1987.gadā baznīcu slēdza - visu tās mantību pārveda uz Rēzeknes muzeju, bet 1993.gadā ar aktu nodeva Rēzeknes pareizticīgajai baznīcai.
Pateicoties Rīgas Metropolīta ekselencei Aleksandram 2005.gadā tika iedalīti līdzekļi baznīcas kapitālajam remontam un atsākta tās atjaunošana. Pilnīgai baznīcas atjaunošanai nepieciešami materiālie līdzekļi. Šobrīd baznīcas ēkas kapitālais remonts turpinās, pateicoties nelieliem ziedojumiem. No 2008.gada februāra Tiskādu pareizticīgo baznīcā notiek dievkalpojumi.
