Description
Baznīca celta 1684. gadā no baļķiem, 19. gs. apšūta ar dēļiem. Līdz 1729. gadam tā bijusi luterāņu baznīca, bet par katoļu dievnamu kļuvusi pēc Līvbērzes muižas barona Līvena kāzām ar poļu grāfieni, kad barons pieņēmis katoļticību.
Baznīcā ir apskatāmi valsts nozīmes mākslas pieminekļi – altāris, kancele, gleznojums uz dzegas un torņa smailes noslēgums. Līdz mūsdienām saglabājies meistara G. Meijera 1683. gadā atlietais baznīcas zvans. Šis ir vienīgais koka dievnams Jelgavas novadā.
