Description
Spāres baznīca ir garena astoņstūru mūra celtne bez torņa. Sākotnēji bijusi veidota kā šķērsbaznīca ar galveno ieeju un altāri pie garenās sienas. Būvētāji plāna risinājumā lauza gadsimtu tradīcijas. Baznīca 20. gadsimta 20. gadu beigās pārbūvēta, lai baznīcēni labāk varētu piedalīties dievkalpojuma norisē. Pēc Otrā pasaules kara dievnams neglābjami izlaupīts un apgānīts, telpās bijusi noliktava. Ar Latvijas neatkarības laiku sākās draudzes aktivitātes dievnama atgūšanā un atjaunošanā. Baznīca lepojas ar Alfrēda Mertena būvēto koka kanceli un altāri (1992, 1993), rekonstruēto (1993) stikla lustru un baznīcas zvanu, kas nostiprināts vienā no vārtu zvanu torņiem.
