Pēc ģeoloģiskiem pārbaudes urbumiem krātera centrālajā daļā ieži ir stipri sajaukti, bet pētījumu rezultātā noskaidrots, ka šī krāterveida bedre varējusi izveidoties, izkūstot kvartāra ledājiem, tāpēc kosmiskas izcelsmes hipotēze nav apstiprināta.
