Pokaiņu mežs

The mysterious rocky rivers, piles of stones, ramparts, and peculiar boulders are the reason why the Pokaiņi Forest is surrounded by fantastic and unusual conjectures and assumptions. It is, however, undeniable that Pokaiņi is a powerful place alive with energy. Seers, healers, and psychics claim that Pokaiņi is an ancient sanctuary. This place was already known in the 1930’s, but it was fully discovered in the mid-1990’s. It is even more interesting if we take a closer look at its landscape – steep hills, valleys, and springs. The rock formations of different sizes are what makes this place so unusual. Some small, some middle-sized, and others very large, they stand apart or close together. People come here to look for something more than just the nature. This place radiates peculiar energy perceived by some people as different types of currents. Some claim to have seen visions, while others have allegedly perceived flow of information. Since 2000, the Pokaiņi Forest has been managed by AS Latvijas valsts meži which ensures the maintenance and improvement of the territory and road repairs. For those who are about to visit Pokaiņi for the very first time, we recommend a guided tour, as there are many objects of interest spread over a wide area.
