VĒSTURE
* Madonas katoļu baznīcas celtniecība tika uzsākta 1926. gadā un pabeigta 1934. gada 19. martā. Tā paša gada 10. jūnijā to konsekrēja bīskaps Jāzeps Rancāns, veltot to Kristus Karaļa godam.
* Vajadzība pēc katoļu baznīcas Madonas apkaimē radās, kad 20. gadsimta divdesmitajos gados, līdz ar pilsētas dibināšanu un apkārtējo pagastu saimniecisko attīstību, uz šejieni sāka plūst strādnieki no Latgales – katoļticīgie. Līdz tam dominējošās konfesijas bija pareizticīgie un luterāņi.
Tuvākā baznīca tobrīd atradās Barkavā, lielā attāluma dēļ ne katrreiz uz to varēja nokļūt, tādēļ noturēt dievkalpojumus Madonas ģimnāzijas telpās ieradās Barkavas prāvests Miķelis Dukaļskis.Viņš arī jaunās baznīcas būvei ziedoja lielus līdzekļus - 7830 latus. 3000 latus ziedoja Pinskas bīskaps Lozinskis, ziedojumi tika saņemti pat no Amerikas, Itālijas un citu valstu katoļiem, kā arī Barkavas draudzes locekļiem.
* Jaunuzceltā baznīca tobrīd bija vienīgā katoļu baznīca Vidzemē ārpus Rīgas.
*Sākotnēji draudze nebija liela – vien 250 draudzes locekļu, savukārt 1975. gadā – 900 praktizējoši katoļi, 1995. gadā – 2100 draudzes locekļi.
* Uzcelšanas brīdī baznīca bija 22 m gara, 8,5 m plata un 5 m augsta. Tai bija 10 m augsts tornis ar 33 kg smagu zvanu. Ēkā atradās pagaidu dzīvojamās telpas priesterim.
