Gulbenes katoļu baznīca sākta celt 1996.gadā pēc arhitektes Guntas Graudupes projekta. Baznīca uzcelta divos gados, iesvētīta 1998.gada 19.decembrī. Dievnams spēj uzņemt 800 cilvēkus, tostarp 200 cilvēkus solos. Dievnama ārsienas mūrētas no izšuvota baltā silikāta ķieģeļiem. Baznīcai ir masīvas ozolkoka ārdurvis, bet iekšējā arhitektūra ir atturīga, ar gludām, gaišām sienu un griestu virsmām, uz kurām izceļas altāris. Altāri rotā gulbenietes A.Akmenes darinātā altārsega. Ērģeles, kuras atceļojušas no Austrijas, ir aptuveni 200 gadus vecas, taču tās ir bijušas labi aprūpētas un sistemātiski atjaunotas. Līdz ar to instrumenta skanējums ir gandrīz vai akustiski izcils. Baznīcai ir divi torņi, kuru augstums ir 24 metri. Baznīcas torņos ir zvani, katrs sver 100 kg. Viens zvans veltīts Dievmātei un otrs – Jānim Kristītājam.
