Viļānu vecticībnieku baznīcas draudze ir viena no jaunākajām Latgalē, dibināta īsi pirms dievnama celtniecības. 2004.gadā notiek 14 metrus augstā zvanu torņa celtniecība. Līdz ar to plašākas kļuvušas lūgšanu nama telpas. Šobrīd lūgšanu nams ir atjaunots un izskatās kā no jauna celts. (Rēzeknes Vēstis, 2004)
