Description
Remtes baznīca celta no 1775. līdz 1780. g. par Remtes muižas īpašnieku valsts grāfa Johana Frīdriha fon Medema un viņa trešās sievas Agneses Elizabetes, dzimušas Brukenas-Fokas, līdzekļiem. Vēl tagad baznīcas portālu rotā akmenī kalts abu baznīcas patronu alianses ģerbonis. 1945. g. 11. maijā, svinot uzvaru pār Vāciju, baznīcu aizdedzināja Padomju armijas karavīri un tā nodega. Ap 1970. g. baznīcas mūri tika pielāgoti noliktavas vajadzībām. Kopš 1992. g. baznīcā atkal notiek dievkalpojumi, bet 1997. g. atjaunota baznīcas torņa smaile. Kādreizējās altāra gleznas vietā tagad novietota altāra skulptūra – novadnieces tēlnieces Artas Dumpes dāvana.
