Variebu muiža 1561.g. piederēja pie muižu kompleksa, ko pēdējais Livonijas ordeņa mestrs un pirmais Kurzemes hercogs Gothards Ketlers piešķīra savam padomniekam Solomonam Heningam. Heninga pēctečiem muiža piederēja līdz 1702.g. 1667.g. īpašums starp mantiniekiem tika sadalīts Vec- un Jaunvariebu muižās, kas 1830.g. tika atkal apvienotas. 1844.g. Variebu muiža nonāca fon Hānu dzimtas īpašumā un tika pievienota Aizupes muižai.

Mūsdienās saglabājies Variebas muižas ēku komplekss - alus brūzis (veikals), saimniecības ēka, kas celta 1830. gadā, kalpu māja ("Malenieki). Variebas muižas parkā ir vairāki svešzemju sugu koki.
