Baznīca uzcelta 1825.gadā par draudzes līdzekļiem un ar vietējās muižnieces Staņislavas Benislavskas atbalstu.
Pirmā koka baznīca Bikovā uzcelta 1794.gadā ar muižkungu Rāmeru atbalstu. 1825.gadā šīs baznīcas vietā uzbūvēja mūra baznīcu ar diviem torņiem. Tā uzcelta par draudzes līdzekļiem un ar Staņislavas Benislavskas atbalstu. 1896.gadā bīskaps A.F.Simons baznīcu konsekrēja Jēzus Sirds godam. Sākotnēji baznīca bija bez torņiem, tikai 20.gadsimta sākumā baznīcas priekšā uzcēla divus torņus, vēlāk izrādījās, ka tiem nebija pietiekoši stipri pamati, tāpēc torņi no baznīcas sāka atdalīties. Torņi tika pievilkti ar masīviem dzelzs statņiem pie baznīcas, tādējādi tos iztaisnojot, bet vēlāk tika nostiprināti pamati. Visvairāk baznīcas labiekārtošanas darbu tika veikti priestera Kārļa Gumpenberga darbības laikā (1960.g.-1978.g.): tika veikta altāra apdare, sānu altāri pārveidoti gotikas stilā, atjaunots ceļmalas un misiju krusts u.tml.
Sākotnēji vēlāko Bikovas draudzi, tāpat kā visas Rēzeknes draudzes, apkalpoja Rēzeknes jezuīti, tikai 18.gadsimta beigās - 19.gadsimta sākumā Bikova izveidojās par pastāvīgu draudzi.
Baznīcas lielo altāri grezno abu Zebedeja dēlu tēli, virs dievgalda Svētā Miķeļa un Rožukroņa Karalienes figūras, labās puses altārī – Svētā Jāzepa un Jāņa Kristītāja tēli, kreisajā – Svētā Pētera, Svētās Terēzijas un Svētās Elizabetes tēli. Dievnams ceļotāju iepriecina ar savu balto stāvu, gotiskajām formām un arhitektonisko veidolu. (Cakuls, 1997)
